Such good news for the Organisation. Many registered athletes come from foreign countries.
Tracks and altimetry for the event running off next 29 June 2008
Marathon and Mediofondo Fausto Coppi running off next 29 June with the start and the finish scheduled in Galimberti Place is one of the greatest competitions devoted to international cycling. And the numbers of the registered athletes continue to testify it.
Almost 25% of the registered athletes come from foreign countries and it seems that this number will increase day by day. 14 different countries will be at the starting line and their flags will be situated along the track: Denmark, France, Germany, United States of America, Holland, Switzerland, Belgium, New Zealand, Spain, Austria, Grain Britain, Poland, Hungary.
Besides them many athletes coming from Italy will compete on the tracks of this event.
As it has been described a lot of times, the Organization has defined two different tracks. The first one is the Marathon, which is 196 km long. The second one is the Mediofondo and is 118 km long. Both of them will run off along the territory of Cuneo, involving different locations to be appreciated and discovered by fans and tourists.
