Undefeated season for Majestics

On Saturday June 14th the Seattle Majestics travelled to Corvallis, Oregon to take on the Corvallis Pride for the second time this season. The Majestics, who already clinched the Pacific Northwest Division title, needed to beat the Pride in order to complete a perfect regular season and to secure home field advantage for the first round of the playoffs.

A Perfect 8-0

Chicago, IL. If you’ve ever been fortunate enough to play on a team in any sport at all levels, and have the opportunity to end up with an unblemished record it is something that the participants never forget. Way back in January, when the Force first started out their quest for a championship, finishing the regular season undefeated didn’t sound far fetched to the players and coaches. Last Saturday at Holmgren Athletic Complex in front of an enthusiastic home crowd, the Force jogged onto the field with the confidence and swagger of a top team. From an execution standpoint the Force were efficient on both sides of the ball, and dominated the Wisconsin Wolves enroute to a 42-7 victory and a perfect 8-0 record for only the second time in franchise history.

Diamonds Clinch Mid-South Division with Victory Over Tribe

The final road trip of the regular season sent Dallas to a very warm Missouri Saturday. In the end, the Diamonds came away with a hard-fought win over a hungry Kansas City team. The 24-13 victory gave the Diamonds a 6-0 record and bragging rights as champs of the Mid-South division. The last meeting between these two teams was the 2008 Diamond season opener at home and the Diamonds dominated most of the way. The road trip to KC proved to be a little more difficult as the Tribe came to play. But the power of a determined Diamond backfield combined with QB pressure from the Diamond D proved to be a little more that the Tribe could handle.
