KPWT MOROCCO - DAKHLA and ESSAOUIRA 2010

 


KPWT is proud to announce the Essaouira Kiteboard World Cup from the 5th until the 7th of

July 2010. This event will be announced as a 3 star Slam event 30 000€ Prize money

The one discipline being held will be Freestyle, Senoirs and Juniors divisions.

The KPWT is sanctioned by the International Kiteboarding Federation (IKF).

The riders all are excited to enjoy the competition and to make that push for all the KPWT

Freestyle World Championship title 2010

Essaouira boasts miles of superb sandy beach with wooded hills standing tall on the skyline to the east. It dominates a vast bay with the beach stretching south for about two miles to an even older, ruined fortification dating back to Portuguese occupation. Here the

Mediterranean and the Atlantic Oceans merge to create two strikingly different coastlines.

KPWT is proud to return to the Kingdom of Morocco and host an event at the sublime
Kiteboarding location, Dakhla.

This is a highly anticipated event within the KPWT 2010 calendar and will once again bring
the International Kiteboarding eye fixed to Morocco for the 8 days of competition.
The KPWT is sanctioned by the International Kiteboarding Federation and will announce an
official World Champion at the end of the 2010 season.

This event will be announced as a 4 star Grand Slam event 40 000€ Prize money, including
Wave Masters, Freestyle, Junior and Course Racing. The event will start on 25th September
with registration and run from the 26th September until the 3rd October 2010.

The KPWT will encourage the World’s top performers within each discipline and promises
some World Class Kiteboarding. Mr Senoussi: “ Dakhla attitude and the city of Dakhla is proud to welcome the KPWT and its Professional Riders back to Morocco. We are excited to host this event again with the KPWT and look forward to promoting the sport in the best possible way within our region.”

Frederic Gravoille: “ I am very happy to work once again with Mr Senoussi and his team in
Dakhla. The event last year was a huge success and a professional example of a World Tour event. We are looking to forward to returning to the region and encouraging international attention once again.”
