The 35th staging of the Sigma Swiss Open Squash Championships concluded with an English victory as top seed Sarah Kippax clinched the women's title, respectively, after a straight games win in the finals at Geneva Squash Club in Geneva.

Sarah Kippax had to overcome English opponents throughout her Geneva run. In her eighth WISPA World Tour final, the 24-year-old from Cheshire faced unseeded compatriot Fiona Moverley, a 21-year-old from Hull celebrating her maiden appearance in a Tour final after upsets over the event's second and fourth seeds.

But Moverley's five-game semi-final battle over New Zealander Kylie Lindsay had clearly taken its toll, as Kippax stormed through to win 9-1, 9-0, 9-5 to secure her third Tour title, and her second this year.
