Killer Whales back in winners' circle

Sydney (February 13).— The UNSW Killer Whales proved their recent victory over China was no fluke when they beat Adelaide Jets 9-6 in the women’s National Water Polo League action at the UNSW Pool last night.

Having succeeded so triumphantly against China, the Killer Whales gained their second win of the season following two close losses to last year’s champion Fremantle Marlins.

Pressed on by an all-round attack in which the nine goals came from seven players, the Killer Whales surged to a 7-5 lead at three-quarter time after the game was locked at 4-all at halftime.

In Sydney: UNSW Killer Whales 9 (K Armstrong, K Moran 2, S Grunberger, A Carter, K Mirabito, A Smallfield, H Hawtin) Adelaide Jets 6 (J Martin, L Callahan 3).
