KB4girls foundation founder Kristin Boese nominated for AWSI kiter of the year
TAMPA/LONDON, June 28th, 2011: On September 9, 2011 the Association of Wind & Water Sports Industries (AWSI) will be giving away the Kiteboarder of the Year awards at the Surf Expo in Florida.
A total of 12 riders have been nominated for the awards and voting is taking place online now through several sources!
The only female in the line-up of stellar nominee is Guinness World Record holder Kristin Boese, 9x Kiteboarding World Champion, KB4girls founder and advocate for the sport.
Boese has competed in innumerable competitions since 2002 and holds a world championship title in every discipline in kiteboarding. In 2010 she launched the KB4girls foundation and the multi-destination world tour to empower females around the world through the sport of kiteboarding.
The German sports model also takes an active role in supporting the kiteboarding in the Olympics campaign and is now the driving force behind the Kite Surf Pro world tour, a world championship tour focused on kiting in waves.
Boese is a clean water advocate and also teaches good environmental practices for our ocean playgrounds through her partnership with the SurfRider Foundation.
