This weekend (27th-29th July) two of the key events of the international calendar took place – the Flatwater Junior World Championships and the Slalom Pre-World Junior Championships.
All of the athletes put in 100% effort and raced fantastically, against some tough competition.
Junior Flat Water Racing World Championships.

The Flat Water Racing Junior World Championships took place in Racice in the Czech Republic. Jessica Walker (17 years old) and Amoret King (16 years old) paddled with pride to take 4th place in the K2 (kayak double) 1000m final. Jessica and Amoret delivered a stunning race in the morning to make the final. Their morning’s efforts seemed to just take that little bit out of the pair they just missed out on the medals by two seconds. However this was a good performance by two youngsters who have more junior years left.
