Jerome Leads Jumpers in Japan

ZAO, Japan () - Norwegian Anette Sagen continued her dominance of the women's Continental Cup Saturday with a strong win in Zao, Japan. Jessica Jerome (Park City, UT) was the top American in 11th.

Sagen put together jumps of 89.0 and 93.5 meters on the K90 jump in Zao, located in north central Japan, north of Tokyo. Sagen has already clinched the FIS Continental Cup title.

Jerome led the U.S. Ski Team with jumps of 73.0 and 79.0, finishing one spot ahead of teammate Avery Ardovino (Park City, UT). Alissa Johnson was 16th.

Nine nations are taking part in the season-ending event in Zao. The opening weekend of the Japan Tour was cut short with the cancellation last week in Sapporo. A record 13 nations have scored points in the 2007-08 Continental Cup, which ends Sunday in Zao.
