Jen Smith Claims ASP North America Longboard Title at Roxy Jam Cardiff

CARDIFF, California (Sunday, Sept. 23, 2007) –

Smith, who claimed her ASP World Title in early July, was the form surfer all weekend, posting a clutch 15.40 out of a possible 20 in the final to best fellow competitors Lindsay Steinriede (Dana Point, CA), Leah Dawson (Haleiwa, HI) and Kaitlin Maguire (San Diego, CA).

“I took this event one heat at a time,” Smith said. “I love this sport and I am excited that my family was her to watch me win this today. I hope to uphold my World Title in 2008.”

Despite surfing incredibly all event, Steinriede was unable to secure a solid backup score in the Final, but still finished a respectable 2nd.

The Roxy Jam Cardiff wraps an incredible ASP season for women’s longboarding, and the girls will enjoy a winter break to rest up and train before taking it on in 2007.
