University of Minnesota Remains No. 1 on
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The University of Minnesota retained the No. 1 ranking on this week's USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine Women’s College Hockey Poll, following a pair of wins against Bemidji State University this past weekend. For the second straight week, the Golden Gophers grabbed the top spot, accumulating 183 points and 12-of-19 first-place votes.
The University of Wisconsin remained at No. 2 with 177 points and the remaining seven first-place votes after wins against the University of North Dakota, while the University of Minnesota Duluth (151) stayed in the No. 3 position. Meanwhile, St. Lawrence University (125) and Boston College (107) each climbed one spot to round out the top five.
This week's action features one top-10 series, when No. 3 University of Minnesota Duluth visits No. 1 University of Minnesota in a Western Collegiate Hockey Association showdown.
NOTES: A total of 12 teams received votes.
