Hodgson Wins Welsh Junior Open Title

Robyn Hodgson from Scotland, prevailed in a tough U19 final in the Kane Mailing Welsh Junior Open Squash Championships in Cardiff to celebrate their first successes on the European Squash Federation Junior Circuit.

 

 

The women's final also went to five games - but this time the favourite was unable to press home her advantage.  Sarah Barnes, the top seed from France, recovered from two games down to draw level - but 18-year-old Hodgson, the No2 seed, was on top throughout the decider, ultimately winning 16-14, 11-4, 8-11, 10-12, 11-2.
