Heather Foundling - Hawker, covering 159.657km finished third woman in the NO FINISH LINE 24 HOUR Race held in the Port of Monaco. Well known for her successful exploits at marathon, 50km and 100km, this was her debut at 24 hour, and perhaps her lack of experience showed at this event showed, as she started the race fast, and was the leading lady till around the 10 hours mark, and was gradually overhauled and found herself in fourth place. However with three hours remaining Heather rallied strongly and captured third place, and just missed covering 100miles by less than three laps.
The NO FINISH LINE is an 8 day festival of running including the 24 hour race and an 8 day race. Anyone can come and do a circuit or as many laps as they like and when ever they like and of the Monaco Port, and all their distances count towards the Charity. A Bank donates 1 Euro of every Km completed over the 8 days. This year 46 runners took part in the 8 day, and 68 in the 24 hour, but a total of over 5700 people contributed to the total distance covered.
This year a staggering 147,000kms were covered, in 8 days of near perfect running conditions.
