Greek Archery Star ELENI IOANNOU
After a serious shoulder injury, her father stopped bowshooting himself and started coaching seriously the young Eleni.

At the age of 14, she changed into compound division and at her first competition as a compound shooter ( 5 – 6/4/2003 FITA ROUND ), she achieved 1st place at the junior women category and 5th place at the women category.

After that competition, a big number of success was followed. Here is the list :

7 times winner ( gold medallist ) of the category from 2004 to 2005
• WOMEN CATEGORY
4 times winner ( gold medallist ) of the category from 2003 to 2005
2 times second ( silver medallist ) of the category from 2003 to 2005
4 times third ( bronze medallist ) of the category from 2003 to 2005

Eleni Ioannou is for sure the top compound archer in Greece at the present time.

She was born in the municipality of Amarousion – Athens/Greece on the 12th of September 1990. She started practicing archery, following the steps of her father, during 2001. The first steps were under his guidance and with an olympic bow.

1st place ( gold medallist ) at the 2005 EUROPEAN OUTDOOR CHAMPIONSHIPS IN SILKEBORG / DENMARK
4th place at the 2003 EUROPEAN OUTDOOR IN THESSALONIKI / GREECE
