GREAT BRITAIN WOMEN REACH SEMI FINALS AFTER OVERCOMING ESTONIA


GREAT Britain Women made it three wins from three in the European Challenge Trophy group
stages after beating Estonia 24-16 in their latest Group B match in Cyprus on Friday.
The team were trailing 11-9 at the break, but a superb defensive performance meant that their rivals failed to score the first 17 minutes of the second half as Great Britain raced ahead to win by eight goals.

Shortly after their victory, the GB team learned that they would face Finland in the semi-finals, while Bosnia will take on the Faroe Islands in the other clash.




“We had a bad start today, but things settled down with players coming off the bench and making seamless transitions into the game, which had a massive impact,” said head coach Jesper Holmris.
