Volunteers from Gloucester Rugby Girls youth talent squad have been awarded the RFU Safeguarding and Protecting Young People in Rugby certificate, delivered by RFU. All volunteers deliver on the Gloucester Rugby Girls youth talent squad for Under-12s, Under-15s and Under-18s and consider child protection and welfare a key aspect of delivering safe sport.

Currently the programme supports 90 girls who have benefited from positional skills coaching, life skills coaching - including sports injury prevention - nutritional advice and career paths to inspire futures.

Future guests include Premiership academy coaches from across the country, England Women's captain Catherine Spencer and Under-20 England players Isobelle-Noel Smith & Natasha Hunt to discuss player pathways.

The programme, originally set to run monthly, has been increased to fortnightly as parents and players have been so pleased with it.
