Narrowly missing out on a medal, Zoe competed in the invitation only event which saw the World’s best snowboard cross athletes come together for a high octane race with some of the biggest features seen on the race calendar.
Zoe started the competition in fine form qualifying in 3rd place out of the entire world class field, she then went in to finish her first heat in 2nd position placing her into the X Games snowboard cross final. A small mistake caused Zoe to fall while fending off a passing manoeuvre from the Olympic gold medallist Maelle Ricker (Can) ending Zoe's hope of a medal. Zoe finished in 6th place overall. Zoe commented shortly after the race, "Im really gutted I didn’t podium but looking at the bigger picture im absolutely stoked! It was only 9 months ago I turned entrepreneur to fund my Olympic program setting up IsleofDeals.com which is now the Isle of Man's largest daily deals website and im about to launch ZGCityDeals.com in Leeds very shortly. I’ve been doing all of this while training and competing on the World Cup Circuit."
So far this season Zoe has recorded top ten finishes at all her World Cup / X Games competitions, is currently ranked 7th in the World and qualified in a fantastic 3rd position at the X Games.
"Pokerstars, Neteller, Isle of Man Sport Aid and BMW are the only reason I can compete at the highest level on the World Cup circuit, thank you so much. I was third fastest in the World on the X Games course in qualifying, all i need to do now is improve by 2 places." commented Zoe after a terrific X Games competition.
Zoe has demonstrated on many occasions she won't allow anything to get in the way of an Olympic medal and now heads into the next World Cup snowboard cross event in Blue Mountain, Canada in one weeks time.
