When the British Cycling National Track Championships returns to the Manchester Velodrome from 26 to 30 September there'll be a new crop of talented riders all looking to emulate their Olympic heroes and make their mark. As our London 2012 Olympians take a well deserved break - with the exception of Team Sprint gold medallist Philip Hindes who couldn't stay away from the track - it's time for the next generation of champions to demonstrate their potential and give cycling fans a glimpse of who's likely to be setting the boards alight come Rio 2016.
In the women's sprint events the battle for retired Victoria Pendleton's 'queen of the track' crown is likely to be contested between 2011 double national champion Becky James, Victoria Williamson and Jessica Crampton. In the endurance races all eyes will be on Junior Road World and European Champion, 17 year old Lucy Garner, who is already showing what an outstanding talent she is.
