By: TTR press office

The resorts of Perisher Blue, NSW, aptly hosted the TTR World Snowboard Tour event over the last 10 days as the Tour looks North for the launch of the Northern Hemisphere snow season. The TTR FOUR(4) STAR Garnier Fructis Australian Open provided a high standard Slopestyle course and possibly the best halfpipe ever seen on Australian soil. Directly following the day after, the TTR THREE(3) STAR Stylewars 007 by Oakley created the biggest Hip feature seen in Australia, and the biggest judged kicker in snowboard competitive history.

The Woman’s Slopestyle was an equally as competitive with Jamie Anderson(USA) holding off Jenny Jones(GBR), Priscilla Levac(USA) and Claudia Fliri(AUT) in a bruising encounter.

Kelly Clark(USA) again demonstrated why she will be a contender yet again come March when the 07/08 TTR Woman’s World Snowboard Tour is defined with a solid Halfpipe performance. Defending Woman’s Tour Champion, Torah Bright(AUS), a late with drawl from the event with a niggly shoulder strain, left Clark to dominate the event. Elizabeth Beerman(USA) and Juliane Bray(NZE) left to fill out the remainder of the podium on what was one of the best snowboard contests in Australia’s history.

With six events already posted, Kelly Clark(USA) stretches her TTR Woman’s World #1 lead to 105 points in front of Elizabeth Beerman with Jenny Jones(GBR) and Jamie Anderson(USA) moving into the TTR Woman’s Top 5.
