FIVB Volleyball Women’s World Cup-Hart hoping for Germany

Former Germany women’s team star Tanja Hart has said her country’s win over USA at the FIVB Volleyball Women’s World Cup 2011 was amazing and that the team stand a real chance at qualification for the London 2012 Olympic Games in the latest FIVB blog.

The setter, who herself competed at the Atlanta 1996 Sydney 2000 and Athens 2004 Olympic Games, added that if the team remained focused on the tournament and used their resources well they had a chance of finishing in the top three, earning a berth for the London 2012 Olympic Games.

However, she warned against fatigue, urging them to use their strength in depth to their advantage.

Germany currently sit fifth in the standings after their extraordinary win over USA but are just three points away from table-toppers Italy with six matches to go.
