The Pools E and F will play in Tijuana starting on Sunday 5th, while the Pools G and H will compete in Mexicali for the 9th to 16th positions.
In Tijuana, the Dominican Republic eliminated Italy from contending for the title with its third consecutive triumph in five sets. The Caribbeans beat the Italians by scores of 21-25, 25-23, 25-16, 22-25, 16-14 with Jeoselyna Rodriguez leading the scoring with 27 points.
Serbia defeated Mexico in the nightcap by scores of 25-22, 27-25, 25-16, Stefana Veljkovic and Nadja Ninkovic each had 11 points and Marija Pucarevic and Ana Lazarevic contributed 9 apiece.
In another match, Belgium eliminated Korea in five sets with Jolien Wittock scoring a tournament high 40 points. The scoreboard showed Belgium winning 25-18, 25-17, 23-25, 23-25, 15-11.
Russia recovered from losing the first set and beat Peru 21-25, 25-11, 25-19, 25-15. Ana Kiseleva led five players in double figures with 19 points.
In Mexicali, China defeated USA 25-21, 25-22, 20-25, 25-23. Cao Yiting and Zhang Yichan totalled 16 and 14 points respectively and American Kanani Herring and Tarah Murrey scored 18 and 17.
Brazil was a 25-16, 25-16, 16-25, 25-21 winner over Japan. Leticia Raymundi and Raffaela Dal Ponte topped the South American side with 21 and 17 points.
Germany defeated Puerto Rico in straight sets 25-15, 25-10, 25-13 with Patricia Grohmann and Kira Walkenhorst sharing the lead in scoring with 15 tallies apiece.
Turkey breezed past Tunisia 25-14, 25-15, 25-8 with Gozde Yilmaz and Fatma Yildirim scoring 14 and 13 respectively.
