The Minor Semi-Final will be played at Claudelands Arena and is already on it's way to being a sell-out, with an additional stand being added this morning to maximise capacity at the venue. The Waikato/Bay of Plenty Magic will host the Adelaide Thunderbirds at the venue on Monday 9 July, in a re-match game. There's more than pride on the line here - the Adelaide Thunderbirds will be keen to claw back a victory from their recent defeat by the Magic (just two weeks ago), not to mention securing another opportunity to grasp at the Grand Final.
The WBOP Magic remain in a record-breaking 9 match winning streak and will be excited to play for a packed-out home crowd.
in a first for elite netball - the Major Semi-Final match between the Melbourne Vixens and the Northern Mystics will be played at Rod Laver Arena. The Melbourne Vixens have enjoyed record crowd attendances this season. In their last face-off, the Mystics snatched victory by just 4 goals with the breathtaking defensive lifts of Anna Harrison. Tickets were snapped up on the first day of sale and continue to progress well, ensuring a rousing home crowd support, in addition to the Mystics supporters who are travelling to cheer for their teams.
