Evans won't be competing in The East Anglian Championship

Thank Evans for that

JUNE Banks must fancy her chances of a first tournament win for two years after news that Reanne Evans will not make the trip to the East Anglian Championship on Saturday.

World number two Banks, whose last success was at this event in 2005, makes a first start of the World Ladies Billiards & Snooker Association season at the Cambridge Snooker Centre.

Katie Henrick, beaten finalist at the UK Championship, continues her quest for a first ranking title.

Evans, world number one and winner of six of the last seven ranking events, heads to Leeds for the EASB Pro-Ticket Tour in a bid to break onto the Main Tour.
