France's Camille Serme confirmed her status as the leading junior squash player on the continent by winning the U19 title in the prestigious Pioneer Junior Open in Cologne, Germany.
Serme, runner-up in the event two years ago, reached the women's final without dropping a game. Her opponent Wee Wern Low came through the draw as the No11 seed, but the defending champion from Malaysia despatched third seed Victoria Bell, then second seed Victoria Lust - both from England - in the previous two rounds to earn a place in her second successive final.
Serme, 18, from Creteil, was too strong for Low, however, beating the 16-year-old from Penang 9-7, 9-0, 9-2 to earn her 12th European Squash Federation Junior Circuit U19 title since November 2004.
