Espoir Championships Get Rolling

Synchro Canada’s Espoir National Synchronized Swimming Championships are now underway at the Canada Games Aquatic Centre in Saint John, NB.

A record 340 swimmers arrived to compete, together representing 33 clubs from 9 of the Provinces, ensuring that this year’s Espoir competition truly is a national affair.
The athletes are comprised mainly of Tier 6 swimmers, and will compete in Figures, Solo, Duet, Team, and Combo events.

The depth of the field promises exciting and original performances in all categories throughout the event, which culminates in the Gala Watershow on Sunday afternoon.
Today’s events were comprised mainly of Figures, with the Combo prelims in the morning, but the competition really heats up Friday with the 13-15 National Team Trials and the Combo Finals in the morning, followed by an afternoon and evening of Team and Solo prelims.
Either head down to the pool or check out www.synchro.ca daily, and follow the athletes on their road to the podium.
