VALENCIA (Liga Femenina) - Elena Tornikidou has become the latest player of Ros Casares' all-conquering team to commit herself to the Spanish giants.
The veteran Uzbekisan-born forward has reached an agreement with Ros to extend her contract for another year, taking her through to the end of the 2007/08 campaign.
"I have decided to continue for another year and I am very happy to stay with a club like Ros Casares," said the 41-year-old Tornikidou.
"I feel good and I think that I can still contribute things to this ambitious team. I am happy in Valencia."
Tornikidou joined Ros from then-reigning Spanish league and cup winners Perfumerias Avenida last summer, and has enjoyed a remarkable first season at her new club.
In the last 10 months, Ros have won the Liga Femenina, Copa de la Reina, Supercup, and finished runners-up in the EuroLeague Women.
Tornikidou's contract extension follows in the footsteps of Ros team-mates Marina Ferragut, DeLisha Milton, Elisa Aguilar, Margot Dydek and Laia Palau, who have all agreed new deals recently.
