English strokeplay champion Jodi Ewart has tied for her fourth individual victory on the US women’s college circuit – and equalled her university’s all-time record.
Jodi, from Catterick Golf Club in Yorkshire and a student at the University of New Mexico, got better in every round of the Arizona Wildcat International at Puerto Penasco, Sonora in Mexico.
She scored 72 71 70, was three-under par for the tournament and was the only player in the class field to shoot par or better in all three rounds.
Jodi shared the title with Lizette Salas of Southern California, who had a final round of 69.
They finished one shot ahead of Spanish ace Carlota Ciganda, who only enrolled at Arizona State in January, and Sweden's Caroline Hedwall, beaten finalist in last year's British women's open amateur at North Berwick.
Jodi’s fourth individual victory equals the college record set by Caroline Keggi, now an LPGA Tour player. But the English player got there faster, having achieved her result from 26 tournaments, while Keggi played 31.
Jodi is an England international and a Curtis Cup player.
