England’s Florentyna helps Europe to 7-5 lead in Junior Solheim Cup
Florentyna, 18, from Royal Birkdale, contributed two points to the 7-5 scoreline, winning both her foursomes and fourball matches.
The 18-year-old French lady junior champion teamed up with Marta Silva of Spain for the foursomes and they defeated Kimberley Kim and Stephanie Kono 5/4.
The European pair won the last four holes of the match, three of them with birdies, and they were two-under par when they closed out the opposition.
In the fourballs, Florentyna was paired with Germany’s Nicola Rossler and they were round in a bogey-free four-under par 67, beating Sydney Burlison and Courtney Ellenbogen by two holes.
Florentyna, who lives in Germany, will play 15-year-old Kimberley Kim in the singles. Flory also played in this match in 2005 and was in the winning European team in the junior Ryder Cup of 2004.
