There was a surprise in the Womens Premier Division where leaders Bowdon Hightown lost for the first time this season, 3-2 at home to Olton for whom Lucilla Wright netted two of their goals.

This result means that Bowdon slip from the top of the table to be replaced by Slough who defeated Chelmsford 5-0 with Becky Odlin scoring a hat-trick. Champions Leicester move within six points of Bowdon after a comfortable 4-0 defeat of bottom of the table Old Loughtonians.

Canterbury beat Clifton 3-1 whilst Poynton earned another valuable point in their fight to avoid an immediate drop out of the top flight in a 3-3 draw with Ipswich. After 30 minutes things looked even better for the Manchester side who lead 3-0 but Ipswich fought back to take a share of the points.
