England defeated Scotland in the first of two practice matches in Manchester today as preparations continue ahead of the Women’s Champions Trophy in Sydney and the EuroHockey Nations Championship in Amsterdam this summer.

A Kate Walsh drag flick gave England a half time lead with Kerry Williams adding a second from close range after the break.  Shortly after Scotland had pulled one back on 50 minutes, Hannah Macleod finished with a good deflection from a Chloe Rogers cross before Nicola White scored England’s fourth after good work down the wing by Hannah Macleod.

The sides meet again tomorrow at 13:30.
