Jones, who returns to international rugby after a year’s sabbatical, has 11 caps for England after making her debut against Canada in 2004.
The 29-year-old will lead a side brimming with experience and youth. Between Jones, Claire Purdy, Shelley Rae, Michaela Staniford, Katherine Merchant and Vicky Massarella they share 93 caps.
The USA are in England for a three test tour and will play the Nomads on December 8th at RAF Holton in Aylesbury, then England A followed by a final international against England on December 15th at London ARFC, kick-off 230pm.
England A new head coach Mike Barnett said: “This squad is a real mix of youth and experience. There are a lot of caps between a small handful of players, but we also have some very exciting fresh new talent here who will have their first chance to show what they can do in an international encounter. This is certainly an important fixture for us as it will give us a real insight as to where we are before the New Year and ahead of a busy fixture list.
“We are all looking forward to the US match which I am sure will be a challenging fixture. We don’t know a lot about them as they have had a high turn-around of players since the Rugby World Cup but we do know they are here to be taken seriously. They will also be very physical and aggressive in defence.”
Entry to the England A game at Sunbury is free.
