Ellyse Perry to create Australian cricket history


 


 

The 16-year-old has been selected in the Commonwealth Bank Southern Stars team to play New Zealand in tomorrow’s second one-day international at Gardens Oval in Darwin. When she takes the field, Perry – at 16 years and 261 days – will eclipse Julie Stockton to become the youngest man or woman to have played cricket for Australia.

 

Tomorrow’s match starts at 10.00am and is the second of five one-day internationals in the Rose Bowl Series. Australia leads the series 1-0.
