DIVERS CONTINUE WORLD TOUR AT ROME GRAND PRIX



Britain's divers will be action again this weekend as they continue to follow the FINA Grand Prix events with Rome this time playing host to the world's elite divers.

British athletes have already competed in Canada, the U.S., Spain and will continue their tour in Italy beginning on Friday when the latest leg of the Grand Prix gets underway.

The squad of six will be lead by Olympic and World Championship diver Tandi Gerrard (City of Leeds) as the most experienced of a young group very much developing themselves for the future.

The meet will be used to give the squad valuable competitive exposure to more experienced and highly ranked divers from around the world.

The Italian leg of the FINA Diving Grand Prix takes place in Rome from 15th to 17th June 2007. The British team comprises:

Ben Swain - City of Sheffield

Gary Hunt - Southampton Diving Academy
Callum Johnstone -City of Leeds
Tandi Gerrard - City of Leeds
Louise Van Hoof - Luton Kingfishers
