In race one today leader Xu (CHN) rounded the first mark in 21st place but managed to sail through to seventh. This combined with her win in the second race has maintained her lead in the championship. She now leads by12 points from Edelman(ISR) who also had a poor first race finishing 15th. She is only 1 point ahead Tania Elias Calles Wolf(MEX) who sailed consistently to finish with a 2nd and 6th.
Race winners for the day were Anna Tunnicliffe(USA), Evi Van Acker(BEL), Lijia Xu(CHN) and Sari Multala(FIN)
The British dominated the first day of the Yngling competition. Shirley Robertson/Anne Lush/Lucy McGregor (GBR) are the first overall, after a first and a second on the races.
They were followed by Sarah Ayton/Sarah Webb/Pippa Wilson (GBR) that finished with a second and a third.
In third place overall the kiwis Sharon Ferris/Raynor Smeal/Shandy Buckley (NZL) that after getting a seventh place on the first race, won the second.
