DAKTRONICS UNVEILED AS BRITISH SWIMMING PARTNER

Daktronics, a world leader in LED visual display screens, have been appointed as an Official Partner of British Swimming.

Daktronics are primarily known for their LED video display boards but the partnership and endorsement of the governing body will provide Daktronics with a platform to promote their timing equipment to facility operators and pool architects as well as giving access to top athletes who will use and test the equipment as it develops further.

The partnership will also include the supply of two fully portable scoring solutions for British Water Polo with each set comprising a scoreboard, timer and shot clocks. These will be wireless based and of real benefit to the sport for competitions and tournaments.

Daktronics will also be looking at a scoring system for synchronised swimming while providing full training for staff and volunteers in the use of all of the equipment across all disciplines.

Daktronics equipment is already installed at the new Picton pool in Liverpool so Britain's swimmers will have the opportunity to put it through its paces at the ASA National Championships in July.

British Swimming Commercial Director Katie Brazier is looking forward to working with Daktronics.

"We are delighted to welcome Daktronics into the British Swimming sponsor family," said Brazier.

"Having top quality timing, audio and visual display facilities at our events is very important so we're excited about working closely with our Daktronics colleagues to make the most of their expertise in these areas."

Daktronics Aquatic Sales Representative Ewan Prentice believes the partnership will have real benefits to aquatics clubs throughout the UK.

"Daktronics UK Ltd is excited about this opportunity to be associated as a commercial partner with British Swimming," said Prentice.

"The affiliation will add extended value and depth to our long term ambitions of providing cutting edge timing equipment and LED display screens to the aquatics market.

"This strategic joint venture will help Daktronics concentrate on providing customers with exceptional levels of service, industry knowledge and dedication.

"We are very much looking forward to working with British Swimming while offering associated clubs cost effective scoring and timing solutions."
