CROSS QUEEN TWELL’S CALL-UP

 

She will compete in the 1500m, in which she is currently ranked fourth among Europe’s teenagers with 4 minutes 10.71 seconds, the time with which she won the Catalan Championships in Barcelona.

The full list of additions to the team announced last week are:

Women - 1500m: Stephanie Twell (Aldershot, Farnham and District). 3000m: Olivia Kenney (Royal Sutton Coldfield), Stevie Stockton (Vale Royal). Discus: Jenny Scott (Birmingham Rowheath). 4x100m: Joey Duck (Marshall Milton Keynes), Hayley Jones (Wigan), Ashlee Nelson (City of Stoke), Elaine O’Neill (Wessex and Bath), Asha Philip (Newham and Essex Beagles), Lucy Sargent (Havering Mayesbrook), Anike Shand-Whittingham (Blackheath and Bromley). 4x400m: Meghan Beesley (Tamworth), Holly Croxford (Winchester and District), Perri Shakes-Drayton (Victoria Park Harriers and Tower Hamlets AC), Claire Triggs (Enfield and Haringey).

UK Athletics also announced the following additions to the Norwich Union Great Britain and Northern Ireland team for the European Under 23 Championships in Debrecen, Hungary, on 12-15 July:

Women - Discus: Kirsty Law (Shaftesbury Barnet Harriers). In addition, Faye Harding (Sale Harriers Manchester) will be added to the 400m and Lizzie Hall (Herts Phoenix) to the 3000m steeplechase providing each proves her form and fitness before the team flies out on Monday.
