Commonwealth Bank Southern Stars start Rose Bowl series with a loss

The Commonwealth Bank Southern Stars have been defeated by the New Zealand White Ferns by 8 wickets in the first One Day International (ODI) of the Rose Bowl Series at the SCG today.

Captain Jodie Fields added 51 runs to her side's total, while Erin Osborne (34) also made a valuable contribution. The Commonwealth Bank Southern Stars finished up all out for 248 from 48.1 overs.
