Commonwealth Bank Southern Stars record first win in Rose Bowl Series
The Commonwealth Bank Southern Stars have bounced back in the second ODI of the Rose Bowl Series to record a four-wicket win over New Zealand.
The home side won the toss and sent the White Ferns in to bat first. Suzie Bates (59) and Amy Satterthwaite (109) again proved troublesome for the Commonwealth Bank Southern Stars, finding the boundary on numerous occasions. Sara McGlashan (51) also added a half century to take her side's total to 6-288 after their 50 overs. Sarah Coyte (2-55) was the only multiple wicket-taker for the Australian side.
Commonwealth Bank Southern Stars opener Meg Lanning (72) backed up her impressive performance in the first ODI, with her innings including nine 4s and two 6s. Fellow opener Rachael Haynes was equally impressive, notching 70 runs, which included six 4s and two 6s. Coyte (51*) came in at number seven and helped her side surpass the set target, finishing 6-289 in the 46th over.
