Chloe Kim is the youngest World Snowboard Tour Overall Champion
Under perfect conditions in Vail, Colorado today, last year’s Champion Kelly Clark (USA) won the World Snowboard Tour Halfpipe Championship title.
Kelly has been the most consistent Halfpipe rider of the 2013-2014 season.
Kelly dominated today’s contest right from the start, grabbing the win with her second run; Frontside 1080 Indy - Cab 720 Mute Grab - Indy to Mute Grab - Backside 540 Tail Grab - Frontside 900 Indy - Backside Air.
It is her 4th World Snowboard Tour title, and her second consecutive in the Halfpipe category. ‘’It is always a great feeling to be awarded but I still don’t ride to win any titles; it’s much more about progressing the sport for me and having fun with that for as long as I can."

‘’This feels great, it is a big surprise, I never really pay attention to my results, I just care about having fun when I ride, both in the Halfpipe and the Slopestyle I will definitely try to do more Slope contests next year. ’’
Chloe was the biggest surprise on Tour this season, in both Halfpipe and Slopestyle contests she entered, taking silver at the X Games Halfpipe contest in Aspen and 3rd place here athe the Burton US Open in Vail. Though not many female riders compete in both Slopestyle and Halfpipe regularly, Chloe beat competitors like last year’s Champion Sarka Pancochova (CZE) and Enni Rukajärvi (FIN).
