Chicago Bandits announce schedule for the upcoming 2015 season

ROSEMONT, Ill. The Chicago Bandits of the National Pro Fastpitch (NPF) league announced the schedule today for the upcoming 2015 season, which will open on Friday, May 29 with the Bandits on the road against the Pennsylvania Rebellion for a three game series at CONSOL Energy Park in Washington, Pa. 

The 2015 season will be the inaugural season for the Dallas Charge, with the five affiliate teams competing in 16 different venues across eight different states. The game on May 29 will open the 2015 NPF season, with each team playing a total of 12 games, six home and six away, against each team in the league for a total of 120 regular season games.

The NPF Championship Series will return to Hoover, Ala. August 14-18 and will feature the league’s top four regular season finishers. The format for the Championship Series will remain the same as the previous year with the #1 and #4 seeds facing off while the #2 and #3 seeds battle it out in a best of three series. The winners of those initial best of three series will vie for the Cowles Cup in a final best of three series to be crowned champions of the NPF.

Looking to improve upon their 2014 regular season, which saw them finish with a record of 30-18, the Bandits will open the home portion of the schedule on Thursday, June 4 when they take on the Akron Racers in a three game series.  Chicago will host the NPF’s newest team, the Dallas Charge, beginning on  Sunday, June 21 for a three game series and the defending Cowles Cup Champions, USSSA Pride will make their first visit to the Ballpark at Rosemont for a four-game series on Monday, June 29.

Chicago will have eleven home games during the month of July, including a three game series against the Rebellion, which will begin on Sunday, July 5. The Charge return to town on Thursday, July 23 for a three game set followed by the Pride’s final visit to Rosemont for two games.  The two game series against the Pride will begin on Monday, July 27.

Following the series with USSSA, Chicago will host the Rebellion for three games from July 31 to August 2 and the Bandits will wrap up the home porition of the schedule with three games against the Racers beginning on Monday, August 3.

The Bandits promotional schedule for the 2015 season will be announced by the end of January and tickets will go on sale to the public on Monday, February 16 at 10 a.m. CT. Bandits season ticket holders will have the opportunity to reserve their extra tickets beginning on Thursday, February 12. Ticket prices and additional information on group packages, as well as birthday parties can be found on the team website.

Single game ticket prices start at just $7 for outfield seats, $11 for upper box seats, $12 for upper club seats, $14 for lower box seats nd $16 for lower club seats. All ticket prices includes fees and taxes.
