Charlotte Wild wins Royal Birkdale Scratch Trophy




English strokeplay champion Charlotte Wild (pictured) added another success to her impressive 2009 record when she won the Royal Birkdale Scratch Trophy by a shot.
 
The 19-year-old, who rates Royal Birkdale as her favourite UK course, just pipped Lancashire players Cori Lee and Nikki Foster.

Charlotte, who will make her debut for England in next week’s Home Internationals, also won the Critchley Salver at Sunningdale earlier this season.
