Aside from being breathable and flexible, the colour of a sport’s kit should also be considered. Research has found that colour is important in sports performance and could be related to a win. Colour psychology states that bold red encourages confidence, and yellow can lead to higher energy levels. And, there could be more to this than we think. In fact, 50% of UK Premier League winners wore red, and four out of Brazil’s five World Cup wins were wearing yellow.
