Another good win for Camp Hill's ladies saw the Shirley-side move into third place in National Championship One (North) as they felled Norwich side Lakenham Hewett, 17-3 at home to register a two from two winning start to the season.
Despite the visitors taking an early 3 point penalty lead courtesy of no. 8 Ang Wadham, this was all Lakenham managed out of a contested 80minutes. Camps, once settled were able to absorb Lakenham's forward prowess, managing their mauls and pick 'n' drive yards, whilst staying patient ahead of the right opportunity. Michelle Gwynne in from second row to cover front row absences was magnificent in the scrums, which in the second half not only gained parity but disrupted superbly despite the prop contingency.
