The Worlds top six netball nations will come together in Manchester, England later this year to play the sport with a unique twist!
Over the course of three days Australia, New Zealand, England, Jamaica, Samoa and Malawi will play the new Fastnet game with shorter six minute quarters, rolling substitutions, shooting from outside the circle and a power play for double scores, this new game is being compared to the world famous twenty20 cricket as it reaches out to old and new netball participants and spectators alike.
Fans across the globe are being encouraged to buy tickets early to secure a place at the top class event. With the England Enclosure, Aussie Posse, Kiwi Corner, Jamaica Jamboree, Malawi Mezzanine and the Samoa Sector fans from each country can sit with fellow supporters to create a competitive atmosphere!
Each country will play a total of five times over the first two days with the highest scoring teams going head to head on the final day.
Event organiser Nicola Moloney said: “Now is the time for netball fans to save their place in the designated seating areas. We know from experience that the six participating nations all create their own unique atmosphere but there has never been an opportunity for all six to come together under one roof before.
“I’m excited to see how fans react to the competition. My prediction is that it’s going to be one loud venue with an electric atmosphere!”
Full details of the playing schedule is attached.
The World Netball Series is supported by the International Federation of Netball Associations (IFNA), the Northwest Regional Development Agency (NWDA), Manchester City Council, England Netball and UK Sport.
The World Netball Series will be played at the M.E.N Arena in Manchester from the 9 -11th October. For tickets please visit www.worldnetballseries.com
