Briggs turns attentions to Grand Slam

They might have already wrapped up a first RBS 6 Nations title but Niamh Briggs admits she wants more with Ireland's women eyeing up a Grand Slam.
Ireland downed France 15-10 on Friday, with full-back Briggs scoring a try in the victory on home soil.

And following England getting the better of Italy 34-0 the next day, the women in green were able to celebrate a maiden RBS 6 Nations title as they are untouchable atop the standings with one round of games to play.

Ireland’s final game sees them travel to Milan to take on Italy and with a Grand Slam still a possibility, Briggs wants her side to finish on the ultimate high.

"It's just another game," Briggs told the Irish Independent. "The championship is ours, but for us it's a Grand Slam.

“It's a word we've been throwing out there all week, but we're treating it as another game because that's the way it is.

"Italy are very strong at home, they turned Franceover at home, so it won't be easy, but we're looking forward to the challenge."
