RIO DE JANEIRO (FIBA U19 World Championship for Women) - Brazil coach Luiz Claudio Tarallo now has a a 13-strong preliminary squad for the FIBA U19 World Championship for Women with seven of the players coming from two clubs.
Four are on the books of Divino/COC/Jundiaí (Tatiane Nascimento, Taina Mayara da Paixão, Joseane Maria Bazilio and Cristiane de Lima) while there is a trio of Unimed/Americana players (Débora da Costa, Leila Zabani and Fabiana de Souza).
Brazil are training in Jundiai until July 8 and will then travel to Lisbon, Portugal, for a tournament that also includes Cape Verde, Mozambique, Angola and the Portuguese. The team will then fly to Thailand for the FIBA U19 World Championship for Women where they will go up against the Czech Republic, Lithuania and hosts Thailand in group play.
