Bowdon and Slough continue good form

In the Women’s Premier Slough and Bowdon Hightown continue to forge ahead at a relentless pace, Jane Smith’s brace secured a 3-1 away win at Ipswich for Slough whilst Bowdon Hightown punished the Old Loughtonians defence scoring seven – three from the ever consistent Tina Cullen – away from home and keeping a clean sheet.

Olton and West Warwicks ‘gathered’ the three points on Saturday; Mandy Gatherer’s goal in the second minute set them on course for a 3-0 win at home to Canterbury. Clifton’s Carla Dunnett scored twice in their 4-1 home win against Poynton who stand six points adrift of safety in the Women’s Premier Division. Chelmsford’s home game was postponed due to a frozen pitch.
