Beijing-British Badminton duo continue campaign

The British pair took the first game 21-16 before dropping the second 16-21. They were 12-17 behind Gao and Zheng in the final game but hit back to emerge triumphant 21-19, booking themselves a quarterfinals spot.

"In the third game I was so determined. This could be our last tournament, and I just didn't want it to end," said Robertson.

"We love playing, we love winning, (and) we hate losing. When you get the emotions of the Olympics going on, it's something special and you can't really describe it."
