Australian Under-18 Championships-Teenage Superstarts Crowned

In the girls’ events, Queensland secured the pairs and triples titles, with WA and NSW having to settle for silver.

Queensland sisters Cassandra and Bolivia Millerick emerged victorious after enjoying a comfortable 24-12 tussle with WA’s Kristina Krstic, while defending South Australian champions Renee McPharlin and Breeanna Dickson snatched bronze with a thrilling come-from-behind 15-14 triumph over NSW’s Ellen Ryan and Rheni Austin.

The triples final mimicked the pairs with Jessica Parolin, Lauren Wilson and Natasha Jones outclassing Dawn Hayman, Tayla Conway and Stephanie Hili 16-12.

Tasmania’s Mikayla Baker, Kiara Daly and Hollie Keen won the final bronze with a 25-14 victory over Victoria’s Tayla Spence, Kylie Whitehead and Victoria Troster.

The Australian Under-18 Championships will conclude at Darebin International Sports Centre tomorrow with the boys’ pairs and triples finals along with the girls’ singles and fours.
