Australia U21 Netball Championships – Day two results

During the morning session, Victoria crushed the inexperienced Northern Territory 82-31, and finished the day off with an equally impressive effort defeating Western Australia by 33 goals 66-33.

It was an impressive display from Victoria, with Western Australia coming into the evening match high on confidence after a ruthless performance in the morning, trouncing Tasmania 91-17.

But it was Queensland that caused the biggest upset of the tournament, defeating New South Wales in a nail-biting one goal victory this evening.   Earlier in the day, NSW won its third game, easily accounting for South Australia 66-46 and looked the team to beat in the tournament, but the Queensland outfit fought back to snatch victory in the final minutes of the match.

Meanwhile, the Northern Territory tasted its first victory of the championships defeating Tasmania by the narrowest of margins, 53-52 in the final match of the night.
