Colorado Springs, Colo. (August 16, 2007)—
Two women were selected to the squad based on solid 2007 UCI World Cup performances.
Willow Koerber (Asheville, N.C./Subaru-Gary Fisher) and Georgia Gould (Ketchum, Idaho/Luna) were selected to represent the U.S. women at the Beijing event. Ranked sixth and seventh respectively in the current world cup standings, both Koerber and Gould have posted top-five finishes in international competition this season.
The group is expected to make the trip to Beijing directly from the UCI World Cup Finals which take place on Saturday, September 15 in Maribor, Slovenia.
